Charles D. Amata Jr.

As President of CPTechnologies, Mr. Amata is responsible for managing the company, formulating and executing short & long term strategies, and for all interactions with clients. Mr. Amata is CPTechnologies' primary decision maker and policy maker, setting the tone of the companies values, ethics, and culture.

 

CPTechnologies' commitment to delivering the highest quality products and services to its clients is personified by Mr. Amata. During his 24 year career, he has built a reputation for his strong work ethic, results oriented consensus building, and the exceptional ability to forge and maintain major client relationships.

 

Mr. Amata attended the University of Notre Dame where he received a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Following graduation, Mr. Amata honed his technical, business, and leadership skills at an internationally recognized machine tool builder over a period of 14 years before coming to Central Ohio. He and his wife have two children.

 

Dr. Charles D. Amata Sr.  (Retired)

As founder and CEO of CPTechnologies and an industry veteran with over 35 years of plastics, manufacturing, and management expertise, Dr. Amata is a tremendous resource here at CPTechnologies.

 

After receiving his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at John Carroll University followed by a Doctorate in Chemical Physics at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Amata made a number of significant contributions to industry before establishing CPTechnologies in 1992. As lead scientist and group leader at Union Carbide Corporation, Dr. Amata was responsible for developing and patenting the continuous process for production of graphite fiber that is used throughout industry today.

 

During his time as head of R&D at Addressigraph Multi-graph Corporation, Dr. Amata and his group developed pioneering imaging technologies for use in printers and copiers.

 

As senior Vice President and head of the extruded netting division of Leucadia National Corporation, Dr. Amata lead his team to develop industry leading non-woven netting technologies and new production technologies through both R&D and through acquisition of existing operations and technologies that allowed the division to more than triple in size within a period of 10 years.
